HEXAGON Metrology GmbH is a leading global supplier of 3D measurement systems covering the micro and macro measurement ranges. HEXAGON supplies measurement systems to industries worldwide, these include the building, machine and aerospace industries.
HEXAGON Metrology GmbH is building an “Optical Sensing” product development team at Heerbrugg (Switzerland) located in the facilities of Leica Geosystems - a well-known Hexagon Company in the area of optical sensing. The new group will cooperate with the international R&D organisation of HEXAGON Metrology and work closely with the Hexagon Technology Center, also located in the Leica Geosystems facility. To enhance the team we are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated:
Electronic Design Engineer
Your main tasks include:
Developing electronic solutions for sensors and measuring systems from concept to the start of production, and providing support for them over the whole product life cycle
Establishing and broadening the range of expertise with regard to non contact sensing including laser-based, triangulation and photogrammetric devices
Optimising products with regard to highest accuracy, reliability and robustness taking into account topics like: „evaluation of micro-controllers and FPGAs and their peripheries“, „fast data-acquisition and A/D-conversion“, and „setup and testing of electronic boards“
Cooperating closely with the various international HEXAGON R&D departments
Collaborating with multi-disciplined and world-wide project teams using concurrent engineering product development methodologies
Your profile:
University degree in electronic engineering
Professional experience in the field of product development of electronic systems
Experience in the design and development of complex electronic systems
Preferably knowledge in optical sensor development
Good knowledge of spoken and written English
Good knowledge of spoken German
