Career Opportunities and Training & Development

Personal development and good prospects
The qualifications and engagement of all employees are the criteria for the overall success of a company. We want to be a step ahead of our competitors and for this reason; we invest in the continued training and education of our employees. Specific personal development programs for the various employees groups offer target-group-oriented, long-term development prospects.

The people development policies of Leica Geosystems promote the ability of its employees to carry out their current and future tasks. An individual development plan is worked out with each employee, based both on the corporate goals and the personal interests and capabilities of the individual employee. Continued educational activities are carried out both on the job and in the form of seminars, training, and special courses. In addition to a management path, we also offer our employees equivalent options on a technical career path.

Performance management

Performance management is a continuous communications process between employees and supervisor. The annual performance management discussion is therefore a core element of our culture of dialog. In these discussions, the performance of the preceding year is assessed and acknowledged, joint goals and tasks for the coming year are agreed to, and individual development measures are defined. The dialog serves as the basis for both parties to give concrete form to the mutual expectations for performance, development opportunities, and measures. The decisive factors for the success of this process are personal commitment and a willingness by the employee to take independent responsibility.
