Leica Geosystems Germany has launched GNSS network RTK service ‘SmartNet Germany’

23 May 2011

(Heerbrugg/Munich, 23 May 2011) – Leica Geosystems Germany started its own GNSS Network RTK service on April 1st. SmartNet Germany is based on a close partnership between SAPOS®, the service of Surveying Authorities of the Federal Republic of Germany and Leica Geosystems GmbH Vertrieb. The new GNSS Network service uses high quality data and coordinates provided by SAPOS® reference stations itself. Leica Geosystems delivers accurate correction data throughout the nation, allowing to directly generate highly accurate and traceable coordinates, for a wide variety of positioning tasks.

SmartNet Germany is offering a nationwide generation of coordinates from one provider, for all Leica Geosystems GNSS products, including the Leica GPS500, GPS1200, and the new Viva GNSS series. Users will benefit from a simple handling of a turnkey service that will provide an economical platform to increase the productivity of their GNSS equipment. Subscribers will have a well-priced and transparent choice of different data rates and accuracies that meet their individual needs.

One System - One Service - One Contact
SmartNet Germany represents a one system, one service approach to its users. The GNSS data streams of up to 200 reference stations are processed to a high standard and availability, in Leica Geosystems’ own 24/7 data centre. While ensuring high quality standards, the countrywide access is not only the best choice for Leica Geosystems equipment, but also for a wide variety of positioning applications, such as Surveying, Engineering, Construction, Agriculture, Machine Control, Utility Surveys, Archaeology, Monitoring, Police Accident Investigation, and much more.
