Leica Zeno GIS: Leica Geosystems enhances its CS25 tablet computer portfolio with Long Range Bluetooth®
3 May 2012
(Heerbrugg, 3 May 2012) - Leica Geosystems is pleased to announce the Leica CS25 LRBT, the new model of its successful Leica CS25 rugged tablet computer. The Leica CS25 LRBT offers the possibility to wirelessly connect to a remote device, such as a Leica Geosystems Total Station.
The fully integrated data transfer via a Long Range Bluetooth® Wireless Technology is one of the absolute highlights of the new Leica CS25 rugged tablet computer. The wireless connectivity to a remote sensor such as a Total Station equipped with the RH16 Long Range Bluetooth Radio handle was requested by many Leica Zeno GIS users. Now it is possible to perform an object-oriented survey in one-man operation, together with e.g. Leica MobileMatriX, without the need for external separate wireless radios, over a distance of up to 350 m (1150 ft).
“The Leica CS25 LRBT is another major part of our Leica Zeno GIS portfolio, which gives our customers full flexibility in hard -and software”, says Product manager Johannes Hotz. The entire solution operates without the need for an external antenna, and partner applications can easily connect to the Long Range Bluetooth® module via a virtual COM port.
Availability Leica CS25 LRBT is immediately available. For more information please contact your Leica Geosystems sales representative.
